GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of Anna. This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
Anna was born on Nov 22, 1940, in Dearborn, MI and lived her early childhood on a family farm in Northville. She graduated from Northville High School and soon after married Joseph Atkins. Joe and Ann lived in the Walled Lake area and raised three daughters: Laurie, Penny, and Jodi.
Ann enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. She was especially proud that all three of her daughters graduated from college and enjoy their successful careers. She always attended and traveled to their many football, hockey, baseball, and dance activities.
Ann was a self-less person who was always ready to help friends or family in any matter. She cherished the holidays, the food, the gatherings, but especially the spirit of giving. She loved gathering items for the Salvation Army and giving to those who are in need. Ann had a tremendous love and appreciation of all animals, especially dogs. She would always feed the birds, squirrels, deer and spoil everyone’s pets with treats and toys.
Ann loved to laugh and, in her later years, loved to retell stories of any of her bingo wins. Although she suffered from several health ailments, she rarely complained and always had a kind and gentle spirit. She lived her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be fondly remembered and genuinely missed by all those that loved and knew her.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Atkins (d.1984) and is survived by her daughters, Laurie Atkins, Penny (Sabatino Jr.) Nardiccio and Jodi (Paul Watson) Atkins; grandchildren, Joseph (Chasitie) Hyde, Sabatino Nardiccio III, Leonardo Nardiccio and Sophia Nardiccio; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Hyde and Caid Hyde; her brother, David Atkins; her sister, Cathy Thamm as well as many close friends and extended family members.
