Obituary for Beverly Ventro

Beverly Dolores Ventro, a resident of Commerce Twp., died peacefully at her home on June 1, 2016 at the age of 78.

Bev was born to Albert and Marguerite (Scheibner) Ventro in Detroit, Michigan.

Loving Mother to Rick Newman of Belleville MI, Shari (Rodger) Pollesch of Hartland MI, Lori (Jeffrey) Champe of Southfield MI, and Brad (Tiffany) Sadowski of Vicksburg MI. Devoted and adored Grandmother of Scott (Brittany) Newman, Sarah (Zahid) Vahora, Emily Heddon, Eric Champe and Alex Champe.

Bev is also survived by her beloved sister, Sharon (Sam) Zain, nephews Jerry Jankowski, Doug (Susan) Zain and niece, Marla (Ian) Skeltis, and nieces, Linda (Les) Verscheuren, Sally (Bill) Shoener and Mary (Bob) Medley and nephews Tom (Margaret) Newman, Jeffrey Newman and her brother-in-law, Charles (Chuck) Newman.

Bev’s children are grateful for her circle of extended family and friends who loved Bev dearly and helped care for her during her last year of life: in addition to her sister, Sharon, Jessie Ridgeway, Norma Olsen, Mary Helz, Nadia Davenport and Lillian Clem.

Bev grew up in Dearborn, Michigan surrounded by a large Italian family that instilled in her a deep devotion to family. Bev also instilled in her children and grandchildren determination, devotion and integrity. Above all, Bev left everyone she touched feeling loved.
To simply report that Bev was a business owner is to understate the many talents, and many adventures Bev had owning and operating various businesses throughout her life. She was an entrepreneur in spirit and never met a challenge she didn’t take head on.

Bev had a zest for life, which displayed itself in her deep compassion, kindness and ability to find humor in each day. She fully lived every one of her 78 years until Alzheimer’s Disease stole her life.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, on Monday, June 6, at 11 AM. Following the service, a luncheon will be prepared in Bev's memory - for those planning on attending the celebration, please notify family directly or email the funeral home at ashley@lynchfuneraldirectors.com.

Friends may visit on Sunday, June 5, from 3 - 8 PM, and on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association http://www.alz.org/
