Obituary for Brandon T. Perry

Brandon Thomas Perry, age 18 of Milford, died on July 30, 2013.
Brandon grew up in Milford where he enjoyed electronics, a wide circle of friends, outdoor recreation, athletics, and animals. His natural ability as an athlete was apparent at a young age, and his strong build aided his accomplishments in numerous sports, including in baseball and wrestling. He attended Milford, Lakeland and Harbor High School where his teachers and classmates often described him as one of the nicest kids youll ever meet. Brandons infectious smile and distinct laughter made him instantly likeable and helped form the gentle giant personality upon which many of his friendships were created.
Brandon pursued several passions throughout his life. He had a relentless appetite for technology and a talent for disassembling, modifying, and testing the limits of all computer-related devices. He could spend hours in his bedroom on the computer, the door closed, his music blaring through the walls. As a result, he happily served as the tech for many of his friends. While growing up, Brandon loved to ride his dirt bike and four-wheeler, he enjoyed paintball and airsoft guns, and he was involved with Indian Guides with his father. He also had an unending affinity for animals, and his list of pets included not only two dogs, but also a cat, rabbit, ferret, iguana, rat, and several birds and assorted reptiles. On occasion, Brandon volunteered his time in the community alongside his family. He participated in events at St. Marys Church with his parents, and he assisted his brother Isaac at Huron Valleys MLK Day celebrations.
More than anything else, Brandon tried to be a good friend - one who would do anything to help, and one who hated to see anyone left out. Blessed with a gentle soul and robust sense of humor, Brandon formed close bonds with those around him, especially his nephew Colten who was only eight months younger and his most constant companion. Brandons patience and good nature allowed him to be a favorite with young kids, including his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was always surrounded by loving friends and family members who will no doubt remember him by the plethora of happy memories and cherished moments his life provided.? He leaves his parents, Charles and Diane Perry; his brothers, Ian (Anne) Perry and Isaac (Andrea) Perry; nephews and nieces, Colten, Oliver, Charlotte, Oscar, Lincoln and Layla; grandparents, Lillian Schuyler and C. Gale Perry and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many dear friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Virginia Perry and Leonard Schuyler.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty Street, Milford, on Sunday, August 4, at 2PM. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-9PM and Sunday from 1PM until the time of service. Memorials may be made in Brandon's name to the Henry Ford Maplegrove Center (checks payable to Henry Ford Maplegrove Center) ATTN: Patty McNutt 6773 West Maple Rd. West Bloomfield, MI 48322.
