Carol Ann Hemeyer, long time resident of Hartland was welcomed into heaven on April 10, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer, she was 63 years young.
Daughter to Bud and Thelma Kerr, Carol was born on March 9th, 1951 being the youngest of four children. Her brothers and sister are Ed, Bill, and Marilyn Kerr. She married Chuck Hemeyer in August 1974 and was mother to three boys -- Mark, Scott, and Kevin. Carol worked for over 20 years as a Case Manager for Federal Judges in the U.S. District Court in Detroit and Ann Arbor. Carol had said that she had a job that she loved to go to every day, challenged her, and made her happy at the same time.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband Chuck of 40 years; her children Mark (Michelle) Hemeyer, Scott (Amanda) Hemeyer, and Kevin Hemeyer; and her grandson Joshua Hemeyer. She was a loved Sister, Aunt, and Friend.
Carol once said that she was blessed with a wonderful family full of love and laughter and that she developed cherished friendships with many amazing people, friendships that felt like an extended family that she held dear to her heart. Many of her friendships resulted from her love of Bullmastiffs. The dog world brought much enjoyment into her life and the life of others (human and dog!) She loved each and every one of her family and friends that came into her life. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for loving her too.
