Carol L. Malloy, 56, passed away on February 2, 2021.
Family was everything to Carol. She was the glue, the rock, the matriarch and a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and friend of many.
She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on October 3, 1964 to Eugene “Gene” Malloy and the late Paulette Nelson. Carol graduated from Walled Lake Central High School in 1982. While in high school she served proudly as a majorette.
Raising four children, Carol always made sure her kids did not go without anything. She made sure she was there for every event and every milestone. She instilled the values of family in all of them and it shows. She spent her days working in commercial construction with First Commercial for the past 16 years. She was very knowledgeable and well respected by her peers.
In her free time, Carol loved camping, reading, being in the outdoors, sunsets on Lake Michigan, especially in Manistee, bowling, cruises and most of all, cooking. Carol was always known to make the sides! She always loved getting everyone together and making dinner, especially Thanksgiving. Carol was also known to cook for the firehouse her son, Dan, works at and would often bring in stuffed shells or cookies. She had a great outlook on life and if she wanted it, she did it.
Carol was also very close with her nieces and nephews, the spouses of her kids, and enjoyed having them in her life. She took great pride in cooking with them and sharing in many memories. She also taught family members to crochet. She was always very giving of her time. She will be greatly missed by all who crossed her path.
Wife of the late Brett Donohoe. Loving mother of Gregory Schulkey (Brittany), Daniel Schulkey (Jessica), Nicholas Schulkey (Kacy), and Samantha Mann (Travis Roberts). Beloved daughter of Gene Malloy and the late Paulette Nelson. Dear sister of Steven Malloy and Kathleen Jensen (Mikael). Devoted aunt of Randy Malloy, Chrissy Malloy, Triston Jensen, and Darby Jensen. Also survived by her dear best friend, George Mann.
