Obituary for Cheryl May (Wright) Antonich

Cheryl May Antonich was a very loving and devoted wife/mother/grandmother. As a wife, she was married to her high school sweetheart for 38 years and had two wonderful sons. In our time, this kind of true love is rare and should be cherished always. As a mother, she was the greatest! She was a true mom who would do anything for her family and to help ensure their happiness. When I lost my own mother, she took on that role for me... including the "hounding" and the "worrying", and making sure that I took care of myself. She played a big part in her grandchildrens life. Every Tuesday was "Grammy Day" for Samantha and Daniel. While Adam and I were at work, the kids would spend the day playing games, reading stories, and going for walks. She was well known for her 32 years of work with Hudsons, Marshall Fields and Macys. It was a very sad day when Macy's decided that their employees could no longer have a set day off, but the kids will remember grandma with lots of fond memories. She loved bird watching and taught both her sons and grandchildren about the different types of birds in our area and the sounds they made. She loved her flower gardens and enjoyed quilting. She will be missed greatly and loved forever.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Dick & Mary Wright and is survived by Michael, her beloved husband of 38 years; sons, Adam (Vera) and Eric Antonich; grandchildren, Samantha and Daniel; sister, Kathlene (Ron) Boonstra; brothers, Brian (Liliana) Wright, Bruce Wright and step-mother, Marnie Silk-Wright. Her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, many extended family members and loving friends also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford on Saturday, May 22 at 11AM. Friends may gather with Cheryls family beginning at 10AM. Memorials may be made to VNA of Southeast Michigan Hospice, 25900 Greenfield Rd., Suite 600, Oak Park, MI 48237. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
