Obituary for Clark B. Waters

Clark B. Waters, Jr. a long time resident of Highland Township, died surrounded by his family on September 10, 2018 at the age of 82.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Clark Waters, his parents, Clark B. Waters Sr. and Normagean Waters, and his brother, Richard “Dick” (Judy) Waters, Sr.

He is survived by Marilyn, his beloved wife of over sixty years; his daughter, Kim (Larry) Cundiff Jr.; his sons, Jeff (the late Jackie) Waters and Greg (the late Frankie) Waters; grandchildren, Nicholas and Kristin Cundiff, Bob (Elizabeth) Dreisbach, Steve (Kate) Dreisbach, Ted (D’Arcy) McAvoy; great grandchildren, Sami, Nate, and Brendan Dreisbach, Joey, Hunter, Matthew and Amelia Dreisbach, Racheal (Mike) Elliott, Kayla and Robbie Blevins, Mckenzie, Teddy and Paul McAvoy; great great grandchildren, Mason, Aubree, and Sadie Elliott; sister-in-law, Barbara (the late Robert) Richardson; brother-in-law, Henry (Sharon) Reinhardt; nephews and nieces, Richard Waters Jr., Amy Waters, Elisabeth Richardson, Robert (Ken) Stottlemire-Richardson, Katherine (Rick) Myers, Renee (Dave) Bogues, Tracy Reinhardt, Rachelle (George) Fan and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sheila (Rob) Blevins.

Clark was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and loved his country. He attended Michigan State University, was a graduate of Oakland University and went on to work for over forty-two years with General Motors. His first years were spent at Pontiac Motors and his last twenty years as an Engineering Group Manager with the General Motors Proving Ground. He retired in 2000. He loved to travel, and travelled globally in his career and enjoyed countless trips with Marilyn over the years. At home his enjoyed woodworking and loved designing and updating their home in Highland that they enjoyed for over fifty years.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, on Thursday, September 13, from 4-9PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Highland United Methodist Church, 680 W. Livingston Road, Highland, on Friday, September 14, at 11AM, with visitation beginning at 10AM. Pastor Tom Anderson will officiate. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made in his name to Dept. of Michigan VFW. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
