Colline was born in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of Collie and Helen Tackett, and grew up in Kentucky before the family moved to Detroit when she was sixteen years old. In 1972 they moved their four children to the family cottage that Chuck fashioned into a beautiful home on White Lake.
