Obituary for Corey Alan Staab

Corey A. Staab, a resident of Milford, died suddenly, along with his cousin, Brandon Richman on Saturday morning, June 27, 2009. He was 30 years old.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 6, 1979, he was the son of Sandra Guardado-Castro and the late Michael Ray Staab. He grew up in Milford, and as a young boy, loved Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Simpsons. He attended Milford High School and later Oakland Community College and was well known throughout town for his ability to make friends easily and for his work as a cook with several local restaurants. Corey was strong & independent, kind & generous and having overcome many adversities throughout his life, he was able to see things in a positive perspective. He enjoyed books by Robert Jordan and Stephen King, LOVED snakes and was proud of the lineal meanings behind his tattoos. His unconditional love for family also extended to his circle of his pals, with whom he shared a brotherly bond. While hanging out he could often be found kicking around the hacky-sack and listening to music, mostly Rock, Metal and Alternative. In addition to his love for family, including his special relationship with his grandparents, Corey found lifes greatest love in being a dad treasuring his daughters, Hailey & Alexis and their memories together.

Corey was preceded in death by his father, Michael Ray Staab and grandmothers, June Richman and Ruby Staab.

In addition to his beloved daughters, Hailey & Alexis, Corey is survived by his loving mother, Sandra Guardado-Castro; siblings, Kayla Vandecar, Michael (Nancy) Staab, Tonia (Richie) Lutey, Wendy (Craig) Ross, Anthony Staab; grandfather, George Richman and many extended family members and dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford on Wednesday, July 1st at 4PM. Friends may visit from 2PM until time of service. Memorials are encouraged to Coreys family (with checks made payable to his mother, Sandra Guardado-Castro). For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
