David W. Mueller, passed away on March 11, 2020, after valiantly battling cancer since summer 2019.

Dave was born on February 27,1967 to Bob Mueller & late Joyce (nee Daily) Mueller. Dave attended Ferris State and joined SAE fraternity in ‘87, in fall of ’89 he decided to return home and join the family business and work for his Dad at Mueller Sales. In ’93 David completed his BA in HR from Concordia University. In 2000, Dave chose to continue the family business at Mueller Sales after learning a great deal from his father after Bob retired. Dave was the 4th and final generation Sales Rep where he worked for 25 plus years selling of pumps and nozzles at Mueller Sales.

David and Shana (Swain) were married on June 4, 1994 and together they had two sons – Josh (21), a junior at Michigan State, and, Teddy (18), a senior at Walled Lake Northern. Dave always had a great passion for dogs throughout their marriage, they have owned total of 4 terriers and Gary remains the faithful family companion.

Dave enjoyed life to the fullest; he especially loved time spent with family at his parent’s cottage on Lake Charlevoix while some of his happiest memories were made with his boys and their hockey numerous teams. Josh and Teddy were both avid hockey players, Dave actively coached them on several house leagues and Novi Youth Hockey, where he also became a dedicated board member and diligently organizing drafts for all the teams at Novi Youth Hockey League. When the boys reached middle school both went on to play travel hockey. He also cherished so many moments with Shana and the boys, from planting gardens to drinking wine, while making several bags of spaghetti sauce.

David is also survived by his dad, Bob Mueller; brother, Scott (Andrea) Mueller (nieces Katie and Sarah); sister, Heather Duffey (nieces Meghan and Sydney), and Shana’s parents Bill and Verna Swain.
