Obituary for Dr. James Guy Schepper

Dr. James Guy Schepper, PhD., devoted husband of Janet for 26 years, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Jim loved to read, he loved animals, and he was a professor at Madonna College. He participated in Sunday services preaching at Brighton Hospital. Jim was Executive Director of the Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals. He loved dining out with his wife, Janet and loved to watch movies. Most of all, Jim loved people and in his counseling business always made it a goal to help people heal. Jim was also a member and elder at West Highland Baptist Church in Milford, Michigan.

Devoted husband of Janet for 26 years. Dear brother of Tim Schepper (Cathy) and Tamra Schepper. Beloved son of James Schepper (Trella) and the late Linda Jean Ruttan. Nephew of Gary and Ann Taggart, and Jack and Joyce Ruttan. Uncle of Jonathan, Cassandra, Andrew, Adam, Matthew, Loren, and Tamarco. Grandson of the late Jack and Dorothy Ruttan, and the late Guy and Ruth Schepper.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 12:00 noon at West Highland Baptist Church 1116 S. Hickory Rd, Milford, MI 48380. Visitation begins at the church at 10:00am.

Please be advised that guests are asked to wear a mask while walking around the church, but may remove the mask when seated.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation in Jim's memory.
