Elizabeth (Lisa) Bernadette Fegan-O’Connor, age 56, of Milford, MI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2nd, after her five-year battle with breast cancer. Lisa was born on July 23rd, 1965, to Walter and Louise Metzen in Roseville, MI.
Lisa is predeceased by her sister Liliane and parents Walter and Louise Metzen and is survived by; her aunt Hedy Vierbacher, her sister Mary-Lou Metzen, her children Sarrah (Ryan) Brady, Brittany (Michael) Moore, Steven Fegan, and Sean O’Connor, as well as her granddaughter Margaux Moore, and many other dear friends.
Lisa had many athletic abilities including running, playing soccer, and volunteering as member of the national ski patrol. Career-wise Lisa worked as a hygienist for many years. Lisa was passionate about decorating for holidays, had an exceptional ability to yodel, and was an avid collector of antiques. Lisa truly embodied being “the life of the party.” Lisa left a smile and a good time wherever she went.
Above all else, Lisa had an insurmountable love for her children and granddaughter, evident to anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. During her five-year battle with stage four breast cancer Lisa witnessed her sons graduate from high school and dental school, her two daughters get married, as well as the birth of her first grandchild.
The family would like to personally thank Jessica Hyde, Arbor Hospice, and the doctors at Ascension Providence who provided excellent care for Lisa over the years.
The family would also like to thank The Shades of Pink Foundation for their generous support over the years. If you are interested in donating in Lisa’s memory, please support this great cause to help other families in Michigan. Donations can be made to https://www.shadesofpinkfoundation.org/
