Obituary for Eugene Liskiewicz
Eugene S. Liskiewicz, age 92, and a resident of Commerce Twp. and former resident of Detroit and Livonia, died at home in the care of his family on February 3, 2015.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on January 7, 1923, Eugene was the son of Thomas and Sophie (Burzynski) Liskiewicz. On October 25, 1947 in St. Andrew�s Church in Detroit, Eugene married the love of his life, Jane. They made their home in Detroit for 25 years, later Livonia for 15 years, and have lived in Commerce Township for the last 20. Together, they loved traveling.
Eugene proudly served our country in the army during WWII. He loved his country, his family, and the Detroit Tigers.
Eugene was preceded in death by Jane, his beloved wife.
He is survived by his son, Gene (Susanne) Liskiewicz of Brighton; daughter, Kathleen (Mike) Blouin of Highland; grandchildren, Karen (Slade) Brooks, James Liskiewicz, Casey Blouin, Michael Blouin Jr., and David (Denise) Blouin; great-grandson, Chandon Blouin; sister, Dolores (Don) Belaski and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11 AM. Msgr. John Budde to officiate. Friends may gathering from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Burial and Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, on Monday at 1:30 PM.
Memorials may be made in her name to Grace Hospice or the Alzheimer�s Association.
