Obituary for Evelyne A. Lemon

Evelyne Annette Lemon, a longtime resident of Redford Township and Deland, Florida, died peacefully in the care of her family in Hartland, Michigan on April 18, 2020. 



Evelyne was born on October 18, 1923, one of four children born to Felix and Marcella (nee Lewalski) Wisnewski. Evelyne and Alfred Lemon were married for 60 years before his passing in 2009. They made their home in Redford for sixty years and together raised seven children. She worked with Detroit Diesel for twelve years but was a lifelong artist. She enjoyed painting, decorating her children’s homes with paintings and taking classes in Chinese brush painting, abstract and figure painting with the Bloomfield Art Association. Evelyne was also the captain of her softball team, “The Who-Setts.”, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Jeffery (Jackie), Lauri (Terry) Shaw, Steven (Becky), Daniel (Deborah), David (Maureen) and Joseph (Vera); grandchildren, Stephanie (John), Terry (Stephanie), Jason, Emily (Tom), Jesse (Kristin), Christopher (Jeanette), Marcella (Kevin), Meaghan, Mallorie (Tony), Marmie, Molly, Ben (Katherine); great-grandchildren, Brenden, McKenzie, Jackson T., Lauren, Jackson, Henry, Ella, Fisher, Skylar, Grayson, Charlie, Marley, Rose, Mikey, Willow, and Fitz; sister-in-laws, Dolores and Barbara, as well as extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her son, Michael and siblings, Eugene West, John Wisnewski and Dolores Wisnewski. 



Cremation will take place privately.
