Francis Frank Serridge, a resident of Milford, and former resident of St. Clair Shores, White Lake and Alabama died on September 12, 2014 at the age of 92.

Francis John Henry Bowden Serridge was born on April 4, 1922 in Painesdale, Michigan, the son of Francis and Emily (Whear) Serridge and grew up in Detroit. Following graduation from Northern High School he joined the United States Army Air Corps and served his country during WWII. When Sergeant Serridge returned from war he worked as a tool & die maker and mail carrier before taking an accounting position with the Speedring Corporation in Warren. It was in April of 1941 that he met Evelyn Egan, and they married in Redford on June 16, 1945. Over the years, they made their homes in Detroit, Centerline, St. Clair Shores, on Lake Neva in White Lake, and then in 1970 moved to Alabama with the Speedring Corporation to help open their new operation there. After his time with Speedring, Frank worked as a sorter with the Birmingham Post Office from which he retired.

When Evelyn took ill he moved back to Milford, Michigan to care for her and be nearer family. She died shortly after on February 15, 2004.

In Milford, Frank made friends easily with his great spirit, giving nature, and great sense of humor. He became a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion and Milfords Post 216. He was Kitchen Commander at the Post, drove for Meals on Wheels, and delivered bread to new families of St. George Episcopal Church.
