Obituary for Frankie Waters

Frankie Waters, a resident of Highland, passed away on September 13, 2012. She was 58 years old.

Frankie was born on November 20, 1953 to parents, James and Dessie Watkins in Beattyville, Kentucky. The family later moved to Michigan, where she attended Walled Lake Central High School. She met her husband, Greg Waters, in Highland, Michigan. They were married in Nashville, Tennessee on May 15, 1998.

Frankie enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening, playing darts, garage sales, and shopping for her grandchildren. She loved family get-togethers. She will always be remembered for her heart of gold, her honesty, and her readiness to lend a hand to those who needed it. Frankie was a good listener and problem solver that family and friends often turned to. Whether it was her children or her grandchildren, they were all Her Kids, and she took great care of her family. She lovingly referred to her parents-in-law, Clark and Marilyn Waters, as "Dad and Ma". She will be sorely missed.

In addition to Greg, her loving husband of fourteen years, she is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Rob), son, Ted (Darcy), grandchildren, Racheal, Kayla, Robbie, Mckenzie, Teddy, and a soon to be born great-grandson, Mason. Also surviving are her siblings, Alvin (Alice) Watkins, Corsie (Billy) Watkins, Judy (Troy) Derryberry, Frank Watkins, Jim Watkins, Joe Watkins, and Anna Cleveland; nephew, Ivan Martin; niece, Tija Martin. Also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, on Monday, September 17 from 5-9 PM. Memorial contributions are encouraged to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
