Gerald W. Will, a resident of Wixom, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the age of 93.
Jerry, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Detroit on September 22, 1919, the son of Fred & Alice Will. He graduated from North Eastern High School and continued his studies with a focus on Business. Following college, Jerry began his work in Graphic Reproduction with Ford Motor Company, a career that was halted by the events of WWII. He bravely answered the call to serve in the United States Army and following his active duty service, he returned home where he resumed work with Ford before retirement as Supervisor in 1974.
Among all the endeavors that he enjoyed, including home improvements, bowling, golf and keeping up with his favorite baseball team, the Detroit Tigers, Jerry most enjoyed events involving his family and church. He was a longtime devoted member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Walled Lake. At his passing, Jerry was reunited with his beloved wife of 70 years, Marion Louise.
In addition to his loving children, Marvin (Ginny), Lorrain (Harold) Liszewski, Larry (Patti), and Bruce (Geralyn), Jerry is survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a great great grandson. His sister, Alice Kovtun, extended family members and dear friends, join with his immediate family in mourning his passing while giving thanks to God for his life among them.
