Obituary for Glenn E. Comstock

Glenn E. Comstock was born July 11, 1929, in Fenton, Michigan and passed May 22, 2009 in Commerce, Michigan.� Glenn was the son of Glenn and Eva Comstock, and the husband of Patti Comstock, who preceded him in death in July of 2008.� Glenn and Patti were Papa and Nana to their family.� He was the father of William Anthony Comstock and Kim Tobias.� His life is also celebrated by his grandchildren, John Ulicne, Gary Tobias, Jaimee Tobias, William Thomas Comstock, Christopher Tobias and great granddaughter, Alyssa Ulicne.

Glenn grew up in Fenton and Detroit.� After being a Sergeant in the Korean War, he returned to Detroit and married Patti Ellison, who had the same July 11th birthday.� He and his family moved to Highland, Michigan in 1973.� Glenn worked in the grocery business at Abner Wolf, until he retired in 1990.

Glenn and Patti were leaders in the Milford American Legion, where he was Commander and then District Commander.� Patti led the Women's Auxiliary, as well as being on the Board of Directors for the Michigan POW-MIA.

His family and friends will always have Glenn in their hearts.� He was a man who was kind in his heart and generous with his love to those near to him.� His family finds solace that he went to a place where his beloved Patti waits for him.

A Funeral Service will be held from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 East Liberty, Milford on Friday, May 29th at 12PM.� Burial & Military Honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery�in Holly.� Friends may visit from 10AM until the time of service.� Following the Committal Services at Great Lakes National Cemetery, the Comstock family cordially invites friends to join for a celebration luncheon at Tyrone Community Presbyterian Church in Fenton.� For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
