Harold “Harry” Diskin, a longtime resident of Milford and Highland Township, Michigan, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away February 3, 2019 in Bradenton, Florida.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, he graduated in 1954 from St. Gregory High School in Detroit. After graduation he attended Virginia Farrel Beauty School where he received his beautician’s license. He worked at Artiste Salon in Southfield, Michigan.

He served in the National Guard in the ’60’s at Camp Grayling. Harry worked for Wonder Bread Company in Detroit followed by Domestic Linen Company. Later in life he worked for Lautrec Ltd. He was a lifetime member of the Michigan Teamsters Local #51 and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Milford and Highland Councils. Harry loved all sports and always followed his Michigan teams. He loved to golf, listen to jazz always whistling a happy tune. He loved traveling all over the U.S. and parts of Europe. Most of all he was proud of his Irish Catholic Heritage and always had a joke for everyone he met.

He is also survived by his brother, Thomas (Pat) and sister, Lynn Licht (Terri).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Margaret, his first wife of thirty-five years and mother of his four sons, Freeda Jo, and brothers, Patrick and Charles, and sister, Marie Katros.
