GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
John Curtis Dickey (September 3, 1971 - November 5, 2021) of Highland, Michigan, grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 1989 with many friends that remained dear to him to the very end.
John died at age 50 from a second bout of cancer (his first at age 19), and passed along peacefully in the presence of family and friends.
John enjoyed his drumming hobby and studied music for a time at Central Michigan University ultimately graduating from Hillsdale College (B.A. in English) and later from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry.
John loved the Lord Jesus, his friends, and his family. He is survived by his dear wife Robin, his parents Curtis and Martha Dickey, sister Barbara, niece Madison, Madison’s father, Dwayne, stepson Dan Cowlin, stepdaughter Lorena Hill (Dennis) and granddaughter Ashley. John is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, many who went out of their way to walk closely with him on his final journey to the end.
It was John’s deep desire that all would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ through simple faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection for the forgiveness of their sins and for their own personal salvation from hell and for the life to come (John 3:16-18).
John wanted to see everyone on the other side in heaven, where he now resides, all his sins fully washed away, and where sin and sorrows, suffering and pain, tears and death will forever be no more.
