Jon S. Springall, age 74, passed away in the care of his family October 15, 2012.
Jon was born July 27, 1938 to Adam and Agnes Nessie (nee Stein) Springall, in Detroit, Michigan where he was raised together with his brother, George.
Following high school graduation, Jon continued his education and eventually completed two Bachelor Degrees, one in Theater and the other in Political Science. Like his educational background, Jons career was multi-faceted. He was a skilled tradesman for Ford Motor Company, a real estate broker, an owner of Subway franchises, and of a pet supply store.
A man of deep loyalty and faith, Jon was devoted to the Maize and Blue, Ford Motor Company, to his Scottish heritage, and most importantly, to his family.
Jon loved his girls, his boys (the cats,) his music and his Maize and Blue, not necessarily always in that order.
At Christmas, Jon never passed a Salvation Army Red Kettle without putting some change, or a few bills in. So this Christmas and those to come, when you hear the bell ringer, drop a coin or two into the Red Kettle and think of him.
As Laurel and Hardy would say, This is another fine mess you have gotten us into.
Jon was preceded in death by his daughter Geneva Dawn Springall and brother George (Lillian) Gordon.
In addition to Linda, his beloved wife of 40 years, Jon is survived by daughters Kristie Lynn (William) Risner, Shannon Nikole (Stephen) Breen, Terri Marie Nemire, Michelle Lee Elser, and Danelle Lynn (Matthew) Sturdy; 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Extended family members and a host of dear friends join in mourning his passing and giving thanks to God for his life among them.
Funeral Service to be held from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford on Saturday at 10 AM. Rev. Paul Arnold to officiate. Friends may gather Friday from 5-9 PM.
