Obituary for Joseph B. Dinser

Joe Dinser was born January 9, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Charlotte, and grew up with three sisters and four brothers. His life of hard work began at an early age in the family business, Dinsers Flowers and Greenhouses.
Joe, wanting to honor and serve his country, joined the United States Navy at age 19. He was proud to tell of his participation in the Normandy Beach invasion by delivering troops and supplies during the heat of the battle. One of the humorous stories that Joe liked to share was how he was the only one on board not to vomit!
He married Regina Keating in 1950. They had six children, four girls and two boys. He never failed to love and provide for them. His great sense of humor and kind heart made for a wonderful husband and father. He had ten grandchildren and one great grandchild, whom he loved dearly.
He could often be seen on hot, summer days riding his big tractor on his 10 acres, or tending his vegetable garden and flowers. He loved the heat and sun.
He loved The Son. Joe was a great man of faith. He loved and trusted the Lord. The last few years were difficult, suffering from ALS. He lost all of his mobility. He faced each new challenge with humor and grace. He never complained and has left his family with a legacy of faith in Christ that will last for generations to come.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2201 South Old U.S. 23 Highway, Brighton, on Wednesday, April 7, at 11AM. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, on Tuesday, April 6, from 4-8PM, with a time of sharing at 7PM. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
