Josephine Doris Snoblen, 87, of Highland Township, Michigan and wife of the late Jerry for 37 years, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Josephine was loved by all who knew her.
Born in Imlay City, Michigan, Josephine grew up in North Branch and was one of seven children. She came from humble beginnings that taught her the value of hard work and family. She married Gerald Snoblen on June 23, 1956 and the two of them raised seven children.
Josephine was a busy mom running a household, but also worked for many years running a motel and later when the kids were grown, she spent time working at Kmart as well as Meijer. But most of her years, she instilled the value of family at home with her children. She was hard-working yet loving and caring.
In her free time, Josephine was an amazing quilter. Her gift of making them is shared with all of her family and will always be a way she is remembered and loved by all who have one of her beautiful quilts.
Loving mother of Thomas Snoblen (Judy Sharpio), Kathryn Hawk (late Kevin), Carolyn Strait, Julie Fegan (Craig), Patricia Snoblen (David Raymond), Elizabeth Snoblen (Todd Stubbs), and the late James "Jimmy" Snoblen. Devoted grandmother of Brendon Fegan, Kelsey Strait, Ryan Fegan (fiancé Melissa Bechtel), Michelle Strait (Vinayak Thapliyal), and Andrew Stubbs (Sarah Meyers). Proud great-grandmother of Rose Fegan. Dear sister of Margaret Collette, the late Mary Jane Dunn, the late Betty Phillips, the late Theresa Beattie, the late Virginia Bunch, and the late Robert Phillips.
Burial will take place privately next to her beloved Jerry at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Heart to Heart Hospice https://www.htohhfoundation.org/ “Honor Gift” in Josephine's memory.
