Joyce Opalko, of Milford, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on November 6, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Opalko; sons, Nathan (Crystal) Opalko and Jacob (Cara) Opalko; daughter, Sarah (Kyle) Sumner; grandchildren, Jay and Jack Opalko, Bram Sumner and Baby Opalko on the way; sister, Jeanette (Max) Justus; brothers, John (Kathie) Sitko, Jim (Jane) Sitko and Tom Sitko, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 2-8 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1955 E. Commerce St., Milford on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Msgr. John Budde officiating. Burial Milford Memorial Cemetery.
