Obituary for Judith Anne Deckert

Judith “Judy” A. Deckert, of Milford, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2021. She was 79 years old.

Judy, in her later years, was known for being a traveler and avid adventurer. She and her husband, John, traveled around the world. They visited countries like Australia, where she was able to hug a koala. When they were back home she enjoyed riding Harleys, and would travel in style in their white corvette. She loved margaritas, and baking with her daughters. Judy knew how to live and passed that love on to her children. They will continue to live by her example and are planning to travel the world like she did.

Daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Daufeldt, Judy is survived by her children, Thomas Nelson, Tammy (Brian) Queen, Tracy (Greg) Burt, Tiffany Nelson, and Tara (Kevin) Droz; grandchildren, Chance, Brenden, Nathan, Adam, Parker, Kobie, Ryan and Shannon; step-granchildren, Taren and Aisling; sister, Nancy (Mike) Webb of Arizona; Sisters-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Klak and Sharon (Bob-deceased) Wallace of Illinois; also many extended family and dear friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, Dennis Nelson (2004), and husband of 10 years, John Deckert (2017).
