Obituary for Keith G. Kuschel

Keith Gerard Kuschel, a long time resident of Milford and Highland, passed unexpectedly on March 12, 2014 from complications due to pneumonia after a two year battle with lung cancer. He was 54 years old.

Keith was born on May 7, 1959 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Glenn Gilbert Kuschel and Leona Trottier Kuschel, and grew up on the family farm in Milford. After graduating from Milford High School, Keith attended technical school and worked with Parks Installation in Milford. He later joined Pipe Fitter's Union Local 636 and has enjoyed working as a pipe fitter for many years. Keith was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and trips to the Upper Peninsula where he enjoyed the family property on the Two-Hearted River in Luce County-and where he bagged his last deer in his slippers! Keith was a tinkerer and was always there and ready to help fix anything that needed fixing for his mom or his girls. Keith adored his grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow and learn. He also loved his dearest companion, Sadie; his black Lab and best friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn G. Kuschel and brothers, Glenn A. "Skip" (Linda) Kuschel and Steve (Shari) Kuschel and leaves his daughters, Sandra (Jason Pruneau) Kuschel and Marsha (Tedd) Cresmen; grandchildren, McKenzie, Jacob, and Jayden; his mother, Leona Kuschel; sister, Michele (David) Stachel; aunt, Yvonne Trottier; many nieces and nephews, his former spouse Diane and many dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, on Saturday, March 15, at 10AM. Friends may visit on Friday, March 14, from 2-8PM and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
