Keith Ward Wilson, a resident of Milford for 27 years, died on August 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born on August 11, 1939 on Lewis Street in Alpena, MI, the son of Ernie and Kathleen Wilson. Keith graduated Redford High School where he was a Sergeant of the drill team in R.O.T.C. all four years. Shortly after High School he went to work for Clohecy Pontiac as a porter and worked his way up to become parts manager for 9 years at Packer Pontiac, prior to becoming General Manager at Sellers. Keith worked for automobile dealerships, mostly Pontiac for 56 years going from porter to General Manager. Keith’s reputation for his knowledge, integrity and forward thinking followed him all throughout his life.
His achievements were many. From spelling champion in grade school, little league baseball, a graduate of GMI, certified master mechanic, advisor for Walsh College, BOD Novi Chamber of Commerce, Novi Rotary, Consultant for Lafontaine and Feldman, Milford Chamber of Commerce, Milford Rotary member and 2014 president.
His passions were numerous as well. Cars, car shows, fixing cars, drag racing at Detroit Drag way and Milan, Charity Motors, Novi 50’s Festival, volunteerism, Stephen Ministry, and most of all the love he had for his friends and family. Keith was a remarkable man who will be missed by many, especially his family.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen; his children, Colleen & Patty. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Linda Kay Wilson. He is also survived by grandchildren, Patrick, Steven, Jessica, Michael, Daniel, Joseph, Lindsey, Gary and Samantha; great grandchildren; his sister, Wendy Harfoot; sister-in-law, Beverly Pins, nieces and nephews and his adopted family, the Crosbys.
Funeral Service from Milford Presbyterian Church, 238 N. Main St., Milford on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2 PM, with gathering beginning at 1 PM. The Rev. Bryant Anderson to officiate.
Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford on Wednesday, August 12th from 2-8 PM.
