Obituary for Kenneth Jay Sawyer

Kenneth Jay Sawyer, a resident of Milford, and member of the Makah Tribe in Washington, died on October 16, 2016 at the age of 70.

He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-three years, Patricia Sawyer; his son, Ken “Frankie” Sawyer of Milford; step-daughters, Marcia Coburn of Portland, OR and Rebecca (Mike) Culbertson of Memphis, TN; granddaughters, Carrie and Eva Culbertson; sister, Marge Sawyer and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken Sawyer and Harriet McCarty Sawyer; uncles, John and Spencer McCarty; brothers, Jerry and Ken Sawyer and a step-son, William Jasen Koepke.

Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a proud member of the UAW, and worked for over thirty-nine years as an electrician with Ford Motor Company’s Wayne Assembly Plant.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, on Monday, October 24, at 7PM. Visitation will be held from 3PM until the time of service. Cremation will follow and a Memorial Service will be held in Washington State at a later date. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
