Obituary for Leslie Carol Gydesen

Leslie Carol Hill Gydesen, age 46, left us on the 30th of June 2020; far too soon, may I add. Born the 12th of April 1974 at Botsford Hospital of Farmington, MI, under the loving care of John and Jeria Hill. On the 27th of June 2020, she was involved in a nearly fatal car accident. She was taken under the care of the staff at Providence Ascension Hospital of Novi, MI. After fighting for a few days, she peacefully passed.

Preceded in death by her father, John (2013), she is survived by her mother, Jeria; her children, Ryan, Rylie, and Damion; her granddaughter Elise; her spouse Thomas; as well as an innumerous amount of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and acquaintences- actually, you couldn't say that she had any acquaintences, as everybody she met became a friend instantly.

Leslie was an inspiration to her children. Through any trials she faced, her strength to press on taught us perseverance; she always continued to fight on. To her parents, she was a blessing. She loved them so deeply, and wherever her adventures took her, she would always try to find a way back to them. To her family, she was a rock. Providing support, emotionally, to help them through anything with her love. To her friends, she was a light. She always brought joy and life to the room. There was never a dull moment with her around.

Leslie lived one day at a time, and always added the most life to each day. Any time spent with her was memorable, and I think that is why it is so difficult to come up with specific instances to show this. She was always laughing, finding ways to make you laugh, or just helping expand your perspective on something you might be going through. She was there to listen and help, and she always did.

Her nature was perfectly suited for the line of work she excelled in. As a server at various restaurants and bars, she extended her support to her customers and coworkers, building friendships that would last a lifetime.

Leslie is and forever will be loved and missed dearly by everybody who got the chance to meet her. May she rest in peace, knowing the impact she had on all of us.

Following the private service Friday morning, there will be a public memorial celebration at the New Hudson Inn for anyone who would like to come and support her family through this rough time. The memorial will begin around 1pm, and be wrapping up around 4pm.
