Obituary for Linda Lou VonBurg

Linda Lou VonBurg, 78, Howell, MI, passed away on January 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Mercy hospital in Howell.

Linda was born on October 5, 1939 in Locust Grove, Arkansas to Willard Dee and Georgia Vinece (Blevins) Jones. Linda married Raymond Colcer on July 9, 1960 and they had four children. In 1982, Raymond and Linda divorced but remained great friends. On May 3, 1986 Linda married Frederick Von Burg. Linda and Fred were married for 21 years until his passing in 2007.

Upon graduating from Mumford High School in 1957, Linda enrolled in nursing school, however being a nurse was not her destiny. Linda spent many years in the real estate business and later she owned and operated “Little Munchkins” childcare. Linda retired from childcare in 2000.

Linda is survived by her former husband Raymond Colcer of Howell, MI, her devoted & special friend Chuck Sandeen of Wixom, MI, her children, Alan (Christine) Colcer of Charlotte, NC, Karen (Terry) Pociluyko of Manistee, MI, Kathy (Ed Lynch) Hourigan of Charlotte, NC, and Mary (Scott) Christensen of Howell, MI. Linda is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Woeste, Marc Colcer, Travis Bacon, Dan Hourigan, Nicole Hourigan, Carly Ronayne, Nolan Ronayne, and Shannon Ronayne.
