Obituary for Linzy Anne Duvall

Linzy Anne Duvall, a former resident of Pinckney and student at Grand Valley State University died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 28, 2009. She was 21 years old. Born in Royal Oak, Michigan on September 3, 1987, the daughter of Henry Michael & Sherri Lynn Duvall, Linzy grew up in Milford before her family moved to Pinckney where she graduated from Pinckney High School in 2005. Multi-talented, she accelerated at any activity she was involved with, including the POM team at Pinckney High and always maintained an impressive grade point average. She launched her career college path with a month of volunteer work in Australia & Fiji resulting in her discovering personal enrichment and excitement about her future and all the opportunities she saw it offered. Her dedication to study afforded her the opportunity to enroll into the nursing program at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Linzy, notably joked at being a perfectionist, was well known by her peers for her vibrant and fun nature amidst her strong work ethic and dedicated physical fitness routine. When she wasnt focused on her career, she enjoyed dancing, scrapbooking, boating, going to the beach and spending time with her family & friends. She strongly believed in volunteer work and always made herself available for greater organizations and causes including the American Cancer Society. At the time of her death she was just a few terms away from obtaining her first degree on a path to a PhD as a Nurse anesthetist and had hopes to expand upon her travels of the world before beginning her post-graduate study. She will forever be remembered for her unmistakable smile, selflessness and unyielding love of family & friends.

In addition to her loving parents, Henry Mike Duvall and Sherri (Wally) Chisholm, Linzy is survived by her sisters, Terri (Lane) Johnson, Caitlin Chisholm; niece, Clara Johnson; aunt, Linda (John) Quainton and her Papa Jim Cronin. Her numerous uncles, cousins, extended family members and dear friends join with her immediate family in mourning her untimely passing while sharing in gratitude for the opportunity to have known such a wonderful young woman.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, on Thursday April 2nd at 12PM with Pastor Lynn Martin officiating. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10AM 9PM. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Heritage Foundation. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
