Obituary for Margaret Jean "Peggy" Szafranski

Peggy Szafranski, a longtime resident of Highland, MI, passed away in the loving care of her family on August 28, 2020. She was 89 years old.

Peggy is survived by her children, Dolly (Paul) Hunter, Diane (Bob) Gielniak, Debby (Bill) O’Neill, Bill Szafranski, Tom (Laura) Szafranski, Denise (Bob) Beale, Dawn (Rick) Cuppetilli, Paul (Cathy) Szafranski and son-in-law, Scott Miller; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; big brothers, Duffy and Jim Eby as well as extended family and dear friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband Boleslaw “Bill” R. Szafranski; daughter, Donna Miller; her parents, Edwin and Mary (nee. Ricca) Eby and her brothers, Don, Dave, Tom and Terry.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately with Peggy's family. A public Celebration of Peggy’s life will take place at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are encouraged to: Food for the Poor, Community Sharing and Covenant House, St. Leo's Soup Kitchen and Careline Hospice.
