Obituary for Margaret "Peg" Bridget Rennie

Margaret (Peg) Rennie of Milford died at Huron Valley Hospital on Monday Nov 19, 2018 in the care of her husband, son and daughter in law. Margaret was 72 years old. Born on March 4,1946 in Crumlin Village, Ireland. She was the only daughter of four siblings. The Parents Myles and Mary Byrne along with the children immigrated to the U. S. in 1949. They arrived in New York and were amazed by the Automat. They couldn't understand how you could buy a meal out of a glass drawer. They settled in the Livernois Grand River area on Burlingame. Margaret attended St Cecilia Grade and High School. Upon graduation, she worked downtown as a receptionist and bookkeeper. She had a way with people that was very sociable and caring. Her husband often said she could have made a million in sales. Margaret met her husband Larry at a dance at Bonnie Brooke Country Club in 1966. She loved to dance and was good at it. They married in June of 1967. Her husband was drafted in to the Army in 1968. She joined him at Ft Bragg in 1969. While in the Army they were relocated to Ft Belvoir, Virginia on temporary assignment. She loved living in the D.C. area and found a job as a receptionist. They returned to Detroit in 1970 and bought their first house in Rosedale Park. Two year later they moved to Livonia. In 1974 their son Christopher was born. After 20 great years in Livonia as a hockey and soccer mom it was time to move out to the country. They had a house built in Milford and loved it. Margaret worked part time for Chanel and said it was the most fun job she ever had. After Larry and Margaret retired, they traveled frequently throughout the states. Utah was her favorite. She loved the shops and people of Milford. Wherever she went the people knew her. She would always inquire about their families. Yoga was one of her passions.

She is survived by her husband of 51years, Larry Rennie; son, Christopher (Gina) Rennie; nieces and nephews; also many extended family and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Bill, Gerry, and Brian Byrne.
