Obituary for Marley Rae Kunder

Marley Rae Kunder, passed away after a life-long battle with a rare genetic disease. She was 8 1/2 months old.

Marley battled and fought through each day of her young life with a smile. She fought as long as she could so that she could spend as much time with her family and her sisters as possible. She faced adversity every step of the way and confronted her illness with courage and strength. Through all of her struggles, she always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed. Her family will always live life “MarleyStrong” as a party of 5.

She is survived by her loving parents, Matthew & Jessica (nee. Ryskamp) Kunder; her sisters, Mattie and Ellie Kunder; her grandparents, Fred (LeeAnn) Ryskamp and Steve (Faye “Bunny”) Kunder; her uncle, Chris (Allison) Kunder; her aunt, Audrey Ryskamp; her cousins, Lauren and Lucas Kunder as well as many extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marley’s name to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Please make checks payable to the University of Michigan and place a note in the memo line as where to designate the funds. Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM and on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 12:30PM - 2:00PM. A time of sharing will begin at 2:00PM. Following our service at the funeral home, we will be walking in procession in honor of Marley’s memory to St. Georges Episcopal Church, 801 E. Commerce Rd., Milford, MI 48381 where a traditional funeral service will take place at 3:00PM. For those that choose not to walk in procession, you’re welcome to drive to the church as we make our way.
