Obituary for Mattie Jean Bruner

Mattie Jean (Richardson) Bruner, a long time resident of Brighton, MI passed peacefully on February 3, 2021 in Nashville, TN to rejoin her loved ones in Heaven, including her loving husband, Dexter Bruner and children, Robert and Charles Bruner on February 3, 2021 at the age of 89.

Jean was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and so much more. She was born on September 26, 1931 to parents William and Grace Richardson.

She leaves behind her daughter Kimberley Hundt; grandchildren, Nina, William, Erika Hundt, their father, Michael Hundt; Robert Bruner, Kathryn (Josh) James, Brad Bruner; great grandchildren, Audrey, Magnolia, Raidyn and Ryder; and many others that love her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Bruner (d. 2013) and her sons, Robert “Bob” Bruner (d. 2006) and Chuck (Jerry) Bruner (d. 2014).

May we all find peace in knowing she is happy, rejoicing with our Lord and Savior.

Friends may visit Wednesday, February 10, between the hours of 2:00PM and 7:00PM at Lynch & Sons, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, adhering to the following time slots by first letter of last name if possible.

A - F 2 to 4 PM
G - O 3:30 to 5:30 PM
P - Z 5 to 7 PM

We ask those that are coming to wear a mask, maintain appropriate physical distance and be brief in visiting to allow others to do the same.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and CDC restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 25 guests at a time. Funeral Services and burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held privately.


In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the family.
