Obituary for Michael S. Doyle

Michael Scott Doyle, a resident of Lake Sherwood in Commerce Township, passed away in the care of his family on July 22, 2012 after a long, brave battle with lymphoma. He was 45 years old.

Born in Lansing, Michigan on July 24, 1966, the son of James B. and Elizabeth J. (Wakefield) Doyle. Mike grew up in Okemos and met his wife of almost 22 years, Nanci Moehlman, at University of Michigan where they both attended college. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and has most recently worked as the senior manager for Trinity Health. Mike was very active in his neighborhood and was the past president of the Lake Sherwood Association. Always staying busy, Mike enjoyed time spent golfing, biking, playing basketball, waterskiing, wakeboarding, boating and spending time with his family."

Mike touched the lives of many people who will cherish the memories and stories forever.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Nanci Doyle; dear children, Megan, Kevin and Lauren Doyle; parents, Liz and Jim Doyle; sisters, Kathleen (Ren Herr) Doyle, Mary (Charlie) Sultan; brother, David (Mary Ann) Doyle; in-laws, Robert and Sue Ann Moehlman, as well as many extended family, friends and colleagues who join his family in mourning his passing and giving thanks for his life among them.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, MI on Friday, July 27, at three o�clock. Friends may visit from 2 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Doyle Children Educational Fund, C/O Fifth Third Bank, 115 E. Liberty, Milford, MI 48381.
