Michele Gee Bachor of Hazel Park, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in the care of her family. After many years of suffering, she went home to be with the Lord at the young age of 59 years old.
Born on September 18, 1951 in Detroit, Michele was one of six daughters born to parents Raymond L. Johnson and Joan C. (Clark) Johnson.
Michele and her sisters grew up in Royal Oak. Michele worked with the Kelsey-Hayes company in Milford. Years later, in Hazel Park, she served as a para-educator at Clark Elementary School.
Michele was a self-taught artist with paramount talent and passion. She was constantly creating inspired cartoons and illustrations - many of which became childrens books. Her family members were the fortunate recipients of many hand-created cards and paper crafts designed by Michele. Michele always looked forward to the autumn and especially celebrating Halloween. She most adored her three little dogs, aka her sugar babies, Chevy, Dakota and Snickers. She also carried a lifelong love for all of Gods creatures, with horses holding a special place in her heart.
Michele was a peacemaker and an eternal optimist among the sisters - truly a blessing among six girls. She was championed for her ability to listen to others, consistently offering fair advice and maintaining an upbeat attitude. Her compassion was evident as a devoted wife to Henry and dedicated mother to Sally Jo, Cory and Kathy. Her children meant the world to her. Michele will be remembered always with the kindest heart and gentlest spirit. Whenever a family member or friend left her company, they always felt like a better person with their spirits lifted and hopes renewed.
In addition to Henry her beloved husband, Michele is survived by her children, Sally Jo, Cory and Kathy Bachor; sisters, Jacqueline Hepner, Alwina Thierbach, Renee Wilkins, and Sally Stewart. Michele is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews, and dear friends who join in mourning her passing and giving thanks to God for her life among them. Michele rejoins in heaven her sister Leilani Garrick and her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at Highland Congregational Church, 1605 N. Hickory Ridge Rd., Highland, on Saturday, February 19th, at 11AM with Pastor Mildred Mitzie VanDongen officiating. Friends may gather at the church after 10AM.
Memorials may be made to the family (checks payable to Sally Stewart). For further information please phone Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, Milford, at 248-684-6645.
