Obituary for Nathaline J. "Nat" Klusacek

Nathaline J. Nat Klusacek, a long time resident of Highland, passed away at Angela Hospice in Livonia on November 1, 2008. She was 91 years old. Born on February 9, 1917 in Fredericktown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Antonio and Inez (Mondin) Buttol, Nathaline grew up in Pennsylvania and later Detroit, where she was a graduate of Fordson High School. Following high school she attended business college and worked as a secretary for Burroughs and Winkelmans Department Store. She later began her work as the pathologists secretary at Zieger Osteopathic Hospital in Detroit, and later Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. She loved her time at Botsford and remained with the hospital as she volunteered in the Botsford Gift Shop from 1980 until 2005 when she received a Resolution of gratitude for all of her years of service.
Her life was devoted to her family and her deep faith. She gave a lot to her family, prayed her Rosary every day and was a very active member of Church of the Holy Spirit.
She was a social butterfly, and along with her deep relationships with everyone at her church, she was a good friend to many at the Hartland Senior Center, the Highland Senior Center, and enjoyed her golf and bowling leagues. At home, she enjoyed planting flowers and gardening (though she didnt enjoy the upkeep and weeding required!), and trying all kinds of new recipes from her plethora of cookbooks or from those that shed clip from her daily reading (all three of the local daily papers!). And for family and friends she would always remember to pass on a particularly helpful article or an informational tidbit that she found in her newspapers--though finding it in her vast collection was never easy.

She is survived by daughters, Judith (Lee) Bishop, Lynne (Jim) Presley, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister, Dolores Adams, and many dear friends who join her family in mourning her passing and giving thanks to God for her life among them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony in 1992, a son, Terry Klusacek in 1998, a granddaughter, Debbie Bishop, and a sister, Estelle Buttol.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 N. Harvey Lake Road, Highland, on Wednesday, November 5th, at 10AM, with Fr. Leo Lulko officiating. Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, Monday 5-9PM and Tuesday 2-9PM, with a Rosary on Tuesday at 7PM. Memorials may be made in her name to Angela Hospice.
