Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Beatty

Patricia “Patty” Beatty peacefully went to be with Jesus on September 5, 2020 after succumbing to breast cancer.  She was 59 years old.

She is survived by Ted, her beloved husband of over thirty-five years; her son, Teddy (Caryn) Beatty; her daughter, Eve (Nathan) Putman; grandchildren, June and Clark Putman, Leland and Royce Beatty; mother, Loretta Burk; her sisters, Cathy (Kevin) Ayers, Louann (Carey) Grover, Cindy (Steve) Willemsen; her brother, Bernard (Tracy) Burk, Jr.; brother-in-law, Bill (Pam) Beatty, and many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and fellow congregants at Grace Church in White Lake and Ore Creek Community Church in Hartland where she served as secretary, organized mission trips, led the women’s ministry, and was an extraordinary servant of Jesus.

Patty was a loyal friend, patient listener, and tender “mom” for anyone who needed one. She loved God with all her heart and had an incredible gift for sharing God’s love with others while making them feel special. Patty’s servant heart and love for God’s creation (especially people) was on full display when she cooked soul-warming food and tended her beautiful gardens. Her sense of humor and hospitable nature made everyone feel welcome at parties and gatherings, all of which she never wanted to end!

Her loyalty and tenderness to her friends meant that they could call her anytime to tell her anything, and she’d have the perfect words for their aching hearts. She was a steadfast, supportive, gracious wife who was crazy about her husband. As a mom and grandma her love knew no bounds. She is irreplaceable and will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.

An outdoor visitation and gathering will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 East Liberty Street, Milford, on Thursday, September 10, from 4-7PM.  All guests are required to masks, and social distancing will be encouraged. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, family and friends will be limited to 100 gathering at any one time.

A Funeral Service will be held outside at Grace Church, 220 Bogie Lake Rd., White Lake, on Friday, September 11, at 10AM, with gathering beginning at 9AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations to a mission that she passionately supported may be made in her name by clicking the following link:
