Obituary for Patrick John Burgio, Jr.

Patrick John Burgio, Jr., 63, of Milford, Michigan passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

A true family man. Patrick worked hard and devoted his life to his family and to his work.

He was born on July 20, 1958 in Lockport, New York to the late Patrick and Pauline Burgio. Growing up in upstate New York, he would graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. He was always proud of his Italian heritage, loving the food, grilling, embracing the “Godfather” movies, and spending time together with family. Patrick always loved the Adirondack Mountains and the scenery of upstate New York, especially Old Forge. It was there in New York that he met the love of his life, Victoria Lane. The two were married on August 29, 1981 and started a family together.

Life and work brought he and his family to Connecticut, before spending time in Rockford, Illinois, where his children were born, and eventually, Milford, Michigan where he has resided since 1998. He worked in sales for MacDermid, a company that worked in chemical plating, for over 30 years. His deep, strong voice and charismatic ways served him well in his field and he was greatly respected by all in his industry, and well loved by all who crossed his path.

In his free time, he loved to ski, golf, grill outside, but most of all, spend time with his family. He adored his grandchildren and was proud to be a grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Victoria for 40 years. Loving father of Jonathan Burgio (Amy), Andrew Burgio (Stacie), Alysia Burgio, and Alexandra Burgio. Proud grandfather of Lincoln, Shiloh, and Adelina. Brother of David Burgio (Marge).

Services are being held privately.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation in Patrick’s memory to either pancreatic cancer research or the National Kidney Foundation.”
