Obituary for Raymond Kurtycz

Raymond Kurtycz was born January 11, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. Ray passed away peacefully at his Milford home on Sunday, June 21, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents Katherine (Fic) and Thaddaeus Kurtycz.

Ray married his beloved wife, Joan Marie Zimmerman, in 1947.

He was preceded in death by his wife and three of his children, Renee Kurtycz, Gary Kurtycz, and Sandra Campins. He is survived by two daughters Sharon (Daniel) Theriault and Susan (Gerald) Murphy and son-in-law Joe Campins. Ray was one of nine children.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Ted Kurtis, William Kurtis, Wally Kurtycz, Clara (Bill) Rosku and siblings-in-law Candy Kurtis, Richard Alberts, and Pat Kurtycz.

He is survived by his siblings Frank Kurtycz, Eleanor Alberts, Fred Kurtycz, Norman (Catherine) Kurtycz and sisters-in-law Jean Kurtycz and Lil Kurtis. He is survived by ten treasured grandchildren Gerald (Carla) Murphy, Daniel (Danette) Theriault, Kelly (Todd) Rozema, Raymond (Amanda) Theriault, Manuel (Stacey) Campins, Andrea (Timothy) Tompkins, Amy Theriault, Nicholas (Julia) Campins, Nathan (Jenny) Stevenson, and Brendan (Katie) Stevenson. He was blessed with twenty-three great grand children.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers Amanda, Emilee, and Lori.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 1955 E. Commerce Rd., Milford, on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 10:30 AM. The Rev. Fr. John Budde to officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary�s Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 3-9 PM.

Memorials encouraged to: St. Jude�s Children Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
