Obituary for Robert "Bob" Wagnitz

Robert “Bob” Wagnitz, son of Frederick and Lucille (Bogart) Wagnitz, was born April 14, 1931 in Novi Township, Michigan. He attended and graduated from Walled Lake public schools. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. and retired from Wixom Department of Public Works in February of 1991.

He was united in marriage to Lisa Kaucher in October, 1986. He enjoyed gardening and woodcrafts.

Bob quietly departed this life after a lengthy battle with cancer on October 7, 2016 at 9:40 PM at Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Wagnitz.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lisa; his three children, David (Charlene) Wagnitz of Ft. Myers, FL, Linda (John) Grab of Columbia, TN, Karen (Derrick) Marcotte of Petersburg, TN; stepdaughters, Carmen (Joe) Dell of Novi, MI and Helga (Rudy) Kautman of Fenton, MI. Ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Pickard of Roanoke, VA; brother, Gerald (Marie) Wagnitz of Haroy, VA and Marvin (Pat) Wagnitz of Fenton, MI.

No flowers please. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123) for their continued assistance in Bob’s cancer treatment.

A Memorial Service will be held at West Highland Baptist Church, 1116 S Hickory Ridge Rd, Milford on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Luncheon to follow. Interment of ashes will take place privately at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
