Obituary for Robert W. Charlick

Robert W. �Bob� Charlick, a resident of Hillman, MI, formerly of Highland for 75 years, passed away on Sunday morning, April 15, 2012 at the age of 91. Born in West Highland on December 28, 1920, he was the son of William Henry and Anna (Lueder) Charlick. After graduation from Milford High School in 1938 he started farming on Hickory Ridge Road where he and his beloved wife, Joanne (nee Ruggles), raised their family. They moved to Hillman in the late 1990�s and Joanne preceded him in death in 2001. Bob was a fixture on Main Street in Milford where for 40 years he owned and operated the State Farm Insurance Agency. A quiet man and devout Christian, he served as Treasurer for the West Highland Baptist Church for many years and always was active in his service to the church. He enjoyed gardening, watching the generations of his family grow up around him, and giving glory to God for the gifts of creation.

Robert Charlick is survived by his loving children, Deborah (Roger) Freeman, Robert, Bret (Janette), Bart (Donna) and Ann Charlick; 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Applebee and brothers, Norman (Bea), Lloyd (Phyllis) and Howard (Sandy) Charlick. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family members and many dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Brighton Church of The Nazarene, 7669 Brighton Rd., Brighton, Wednesday, April 18 at 10 AM. Burial West Highland Cemetery. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, Monday 5-8 PM and Tuesday 2-8 PM. Memorials may be made to Atlanta Senior Center in Atlanta, Michigan.
