Obituary for Rose W. Hawrylak

Rose W. Hawrylak, 89 of Clarkston, Michigan passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Rose was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania on November 13, 1932, the youngest of 12 children of the late Mr. and Mrs Stephen Washuda. With her Ukranian heritage, she was brought up in the catholic church and always remained strong in her faith. She met her would be husband, John Hawrylak in Michigan and were blessed with two children.

For many years while her children were young, the family spent a couple weeks during summer together with aunts, uncles, and cousins enjoying time together at Camp Dearborn. Rose never stopped being a supportive and caring mother and grandmother, especially caring and always being there for her son, the late John Mark Hawrylak who preceded her in death at the age of 57. She was also preceded in death by all 11 of her siblings, as well as her husband, John in 1987. Rose spent much of her later years with her best friend, Martin Orlowski, who passed away several years ago.

Beloved wife of the late John Hawrylak. Loving mother of loving mother of Andrea Burdick, her son, John M Hawrylak, and her son-in-law, Brett. Proud grandmother Andrew Burdick and Kalie Burdick.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows, 1955 E. Commerce St, Milford, MI 48381 on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11 am with gathering beginning at 10 am. The Rev. Fr. Tomy Kattikanayil to officiate.

Burial will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
