She loved Milford and its people and her good mood and goodwill for friends and strangers alike made shopping local very happy duty. Ruth was among the first cohort of volunteers at Huron Valley Hospital from the time it opened in the 1980's. Her compassion and empathy endeared her to patients and visitors for years. Ruth was a woman of abiding faith and was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Milford. And she loved and treasured her family.
