Sandra Ann Stone, a resident of South Lyon and former resident of Milford, died on June 29, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Detroit on September 2, 1944, the daughter of Harry and Elena Scott. On May 5, 1961 she married the love of her life, Ronald D. Stone, and it was the beginning of forty-three years of love and friendship.
One of Sandys greatest attributes was the ability to love her children, grandchildren and family unconditionally. She loved spending time with the love of her life; children and grandchildren at their cottage on Littlefield Lake, some of her happiest memories were from the time spent there. She loved caring for her grandchildren and sharing her wisdom as they grew to adulthood.
Sandy was a long time member of the Eastern Star, Redford, Michigan and deeply loved her work over the past four years with her Walmart family in New Hudson. Sandy loved people and she was a pleasure to all who met her at Walmart. Everyone sought to be in Sandys line at the check-out and she felt very honored when she was awarded with a Cashier of the Month plaque. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time in the out-of-doors and in her flower gardens, and being on her porch and patio where she could watch the hummingbirds and enjoy the day.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald D. Stone in 2004, and is survived by her daughter, Robbin (Jim) Outlaw; her son, Jim (Donna) Stone; grandchildren, Jason (Meghan) Banfield, Joshua Banfield, Corey, Megan, and Lauren Stone; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Scott; sister-in-law, Sue (Don) Leidal and many extended family members and dear friends who join her family in mourning her passing and giving thanks for her life.
