Obituary for Shirley Ann Morris

Shirley Ann Morris, a long time resident of Highland Twp. and Walled Lake, died on February 26, 2014. She was 75 years old.

Born on April 27, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of David Biskner and Alice Leahy Biskner, Shirley grew up in Pontiac, where she attended St. Frederick High School.

On December 31, 1955 she married the love of her life, John Scott �Jack� Morris, and they made their home in Walled Lake where they raised their family and were members of St. William Catholic Church. They later moved to Highland Township, where Shirley cared for her husband as he battled MS. Shirley also enjoyed her work as a bank teller with Pontiac State Bank at M-59 and Duck Lake Road for many years. She worshiped at Church of the Holy Spirit.
Shirley�s life was spent LOVING, especially the Lord, her precious children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her dear sister, and all of her family and friends for whom she is praying for in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Scott �Jack� Morris, in 1997 and is survived by her children, Chari (Joe) McGinley, Scott (Anna) Morris, Lori (Fritz) Bocks and Jackie (Mike) Dunckley; grandchildren, Shawn (Hal) Howell, Breahn (Justin) Post, Dustin (Andrea) Bocks, Kristin (Zane) Ptolemy, Michael Dunckley, Matthew Dunckley and Megan (Seth) Markham; great grandchildren, Jackson and Ashlyn Howell, Hailey and Lucas Post, Lilyanne Bocks, Ezekiel, Elias and Justice Ptolemy; sister, Marilyn (Wayne) Wunsche and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Biskner.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, on Sunday, March 2, 2-8PM with a Rosary at 4PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 N. Harvey Lake Road, Highland, on Monday, March 3, at 10AM. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to Right to Life of Michigan.
