Obituary for Stanley Edwin Ashcraft

Stanley Edwin Ashcraft, a long time resident of Plymouth and proud WWII Marine Veteran, who earned a Purple Heart and Gold Star for his service in the Pacific, died on September 9, 2019 at the age of 97.

Father of Janis (the late Jim) Zak, Thomas (Betty) Ashcraft, Eileen (Robert) Leyland, Frank (Debbie) Ashcraft; grandfather of Christine (Leo) Gregory, David (Joleen) Ashcraft, Lauren Bouchard, Mike Zak, Andrea (Ryan) Moore, Nicole (David) Metzger, Kevin Leyland; great grandfather of Samantha and Leo Gregory, Olivia Bouchard, Zofia Zak, Addy and Jimmy Moore, and Ashley Metzger. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Ashcraft, in 2013 and twelve siblings.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 N. Harvey Lake Road, Highland, on Friday, October 25, at 11AM. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, at 1PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Catholic Charities.
