Obituary for Stephen Ray Pranga

Stephen Ray Pranga, of Milford, died in the care of his family December 17, 2009. He was 59 years old.
Born on December 30, 1949 in DeKalb, Illinois, Stephen was one of seven children born to parents Casmir Leonard and Lucy Ann (nee. McNeely) Pranga. Stephen and his six brothers and sisters were raised in an idyllic setting on a farm in Illinois.
As a young man, Stephen chose to channel his love for his country into a commitment by enlisting in the United States Air Force. Stephen was incredibly proud of the four years he served in the Air Force. In those four years, he made many friends and has remained close with several of his brothers in arms who have since become lifelong friends.
For his lifes work, Stephen chose to dedicate 30 years as an Aeronautical Engineer for Williams International in Walled Lake. His mission there was to solve design problems for some of the most intricately constructed jet engines in the world.
Stephen was a dedicated father and loving grandfather. His every thought and lifes goal was driven by the desire to produce and secure a rewarding life for his children. He was truly an unsung hero who will be loved and missed in many large and small ways. Stephen was tirelessly hard-working, as any man would be whose only wish was to provide a happy and secure home for his children. He was a man of his word and he always followed through on any promise given.
Stephen is survived by his loving children Stephen, Jonathan, Misty Pranga, and Lindsey Watts, and their mother Judy Pranga-Watts; his mother Lucy Ann and the late Casmir Leonard Pranga; grandchildren Samantha Pranga and Julia Cates, siblings William Pranga, Ann Reiswig, Mark Pranga, Renee Garren, Jerry Pranga, and Dale Pranga; and fellow brothers in arms Tim Ramey and Mike Wilczyniski; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
