Obituary for Steven Castillo

Steven was born on January 28, 1967 in Pontiac, Michigan to parents, Fidel and Pauline Castillo. Steven was number three of seven children in his very close and loving family. He opened Castillo Electronics in 2002 and quickly became the preferred automotive electronics specialist for many dealerships. He was well respected in his field. Steve met the love of his life, Danna Wallace in the spring of 1986, they married on February 5, 1988 and started a family. A true family man, Steve was the Go-To guy for just about everything. He would listen, not judge, adding his own humor to make you smile. He was a professional nick name giver and could fix anything that didn’t have carpentry involved.

In his free time, Steve enjoyed time with family and friends from backyard BBQ’s, hunting, fishing and mowing his lawn to perfection. Steve never let the opportunity pass to watch a John Wick movie. He was the King of one liners, some of his favorites being, "What’s Up, Real Chulo, watch this , COME ON!, You gotta be kidding me” always followed by a giggle. He loved 70's and 80's music. He was the biggest Bee Gee's fan and rarely missed an opportunity to belt out the lyrics in his best falsetto, which would result in hilarious laughter. Steve was a Hayaa youth football and baseball coach, and he was a huge fan on the sidelines and in the stands for Hartland Wrestling, Football, Lacrosse, Baseball, Boarder Cross and Soccer for his kids and their team mates. He loved being a part of the Hartland Community and volunteered often. He was a true provider, definitely a jokester, but always there when you needed him. His dog, a 14 year old Australian Shepherd named Cisco was always by his side. A car guy to his core, he loved hanging out in his garage, working on his bright yellow 1967 Chevy Nova that has been a work in progress for 30 years. His kindness, humor, smile, laughter and love for all will be greatly missed by his family and so very many friends.

Beloved husband of Danna for 34 years. Loving father of Nicholas Castillo (Emmalie), Cierra Castillo, Noah Castillo, and Sage Castillo. Son of Fidel and Pauline Castillo and son-in-law of Jerry and Leone Wallace. Dear brother of Tina Lewis (Patrick), Rose Carpenter (Eric), Patrick Castillo (Diana), Rick Castillo (Kacey), Rueben Castillo (Brittany), and Shelly Munoz (Alonso). Brother-in-law and devoted uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Cisco and his 2004 Chevy Astro Van.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 404 E. Liberty St. Milford, MI 48381.
